I’m worried about credit card fraud, is this site secure?

For your comfort and safety, Creative Irish Gifts uses secure server technology (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) to virtually eliminate the risk of an unwanted intermediary obtaining your credit card information during transmission. SSL is the standard in secure Web transactions and is the best technology available today.

We’ve been selling Irish gifts on the Web for many years, and there have been no reported cases of credit card fraud resulting from a transaction made on this site. We are confident in the safety and security of ordering online by credit card.

Shopping and Checkout Questions

How do I shop on this site?

For your shopping convenience, we use what's called a "shopping cart" to help you order online. This shopping cart works just the same as a real shopping cart -- it collects items you want to purchase until it's checkout time!

Simply browse the store and when you want to purchase an item, just click "order" and that item is added to your cart. After ordering each item, you'll be given a "view order" screen that displays your items as well as a subtotal. When you are finished shopping, click "checkout" (a link on "view order" screen) and follow the easy steps from there.

How do I change quantities?

When you click "order", one of the selected item is added to your shopping cart. If you want more than one, simply adjust the quantity on the "view order" screen (that loads directly after clicking the "order" button), and click the "update" button. If you ever want to remove an item from your cart, just enter "0" in the quantity field, then click the "update" button.

Can I order your personalized items on the site?

Yes, you can! Order the personalized items, and you will be prompted to enter personalized or customized information (name, coat of arms, etc.) when you get to the checkout screen. Your personalized information will be summarized on your order receipt. back to top

How do I order multiples of the same personalized item (with different names)?

When you get to the desired personalized item's detail page, click "order". On the following screen you can change the quantity for that item. Then, when you get to checkout you will be prompted for personalized information. Go ahead and enter all of the names you want for that item in that space. If you have any additional instructions for us, include them in the "Order Comments" section of the checkout form. back to top

What does it mean when an item is "Shipped Free?"

Since our shipping costs are based on the total cost of your order, "shipped free" means that the price of that item won't be factored into your shipping charge. If you order only items shipped free, your shipping charge will be 0. Free shipping on these items only applies to standard shipping.

Can you bill me and send my gift to a different address (gift)?

Absolutely! On the checkout form there is space for you to enter a shipping address that can be different from the billing address (your own). You might also like to know we will include a FREE gift card using your text, upon request. Click for more information.

What is your return policy?

If the item is damaged or defective, please call us immediately for instructions. Damage claims must be filed within 7 days of receipt of goods. Claims for defective items must be made within 30 days upon receipt of goods. Normal wear is not considered a defect.

If the item shipped separately to you by our vendor (drop ship item), please call for instructions. Personalized shipped separately items are refunded in the form of a gift certificate equal to the original price paid or a merchandise exchange. These items have a 90 day return period.

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with any Creative Irish Gifts purchase, simply return it within 90 days and we will promptly refund the item price, or replace the product free of charge. Returned items should be in original condition. Normal time to process your return is 10-14 days upon receipt of package.

When returning any part of your order, please print and complete this form and enclose with your shipment. Carefully secure the package and the merchandise to prevent damage in transit. When proof of purchase is not available, we refund the most recent price charged for the item in the form of a Gift Certificate. Send package to our store location at:

Please insure your return for the full value and retain all of your postal and insurance receipts. A traceable method of shipping must be used. Any taxes you paid will be refunded. Gift wrapping is not refundable. We do not refund shipping or handling fees unless the return is a result of an error we made or if the item was damaged or defective. WE WILL NOT CREDIT SHIPPING COSTS THAT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL ORDER'S SHIPPING CHARGES: DO NOT SEND YOUR RETURN VIA AN EXPRESS SERVICE. YOUR PACKAGING FEES ARE NOT REIMBURSABLE.

Exchanges are only charged a shipping fee of $5.95

What does imported mean?

We visit Ireland to find most of our items, where our sources range from cottage crafters to brand name suppliers such as Belleek and Waterford. Also many of our Irish and Celtic themed items come from Scotland, Wales, England, Continental Europe, the United States and the Far East.

What if prices are incorrect?

All purchases are subject to current catalog/website pricing. The company reserves the right to correct any pricing errors that might occur in the production of emails, banners and website. Should an error occur in pricing, the customer shall have the option of paying the correct price less 10%* or receive a full refund.

*Items with MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) will not qualify for the discount.

I’m having trouble placing an order, what’s the problem?

If you have ordered items but still get a screen saying you have not, most likely the cookies on your browser are disabled. This site needs to set cookies to track your order, and they are used only for that purpose. How to enable cookies is different for each browser. For Internet Explorer, go "Tools-->Internet Options-->Security" and make sure the slider bar is medium or below. Or, check your browser’s "Help" file on how to enable cookies.
